On November 2 we were delighted to attend one of the most magnificent events in South Florida. It is known as the “can’t miss” event of the SoFo social scene. The Intercontinental Miami “Make-A-Wish Ball” featured the finest of courses starting with scrumptious stone crab , mouthwatering cocktails, and the chance to bid in a silent& live auction for wishes. The gorgeous Gabrielle Anwar of USA Network’s “Burn Notice” was the Celebrity Auctioneer and Grammy nominee Adam Lambert rocked the ballroom as the musical entertainer for the night from “American Idol.”
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a 501 non-profit organization founded in the United States that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. This year the Make-A-Wish Ball was a phenomenal success and we were thrilled to have been part of it. The foundation was able to raise a record-breaking $2 million.
We are exceptionally pleased to have been part of such a magical evening. A special thank you to Jen Klaasssens from the Wasie Foundation for making this such a memorable event and for the invitation to be honored at her table. We were all delighted to help support the cause. We surely look forward to participating next year. This year’s Vaudeville-inspired ball was “over the top” and can’t imagine what next year’s theme will be about can’t wait to see.
