In just 62 days’ time, the 20th Fifa World Cup will be kicking off in Brazil with the opening match being between Brazil and Croatia and we can’t wait!
The 20th Fifa World Cup heads to Brazil between 12 June and 13 July 2014 – and the five-time champions will be hopeful of lifting the trophy again. But with Spain and Germany in good nick, and other surprises sure to come to the fore, the month-long football festival will not be one to miss.
The bid to host the games in Brazil was initially proposed by Fifa back in 2003, and after Columia backed out, the Brazillian bid was won in 2007. This will be the second time the World Cup is hosted in South America, the first time of which was hosted in Argentina back in 1978.
Brazil are 5 time champions of the World Cup and are in hopes of taking home the trophy once more, however with teams such as Germany and Spain looking strong, we could see a few surprises along the way.
