There will be laughter, there will be tears and there will be a lorra lorra laughs, and that’s just squeezing Barry into his cycle shorts! Yes this morning the countdown to the PJC great charity cycle from London across the world to our Dubai office began…all 4,499 miles! So in full on lycra gear and to the strains of ‘Eye of the Tiger’, Union Jacks duly draped around, the stretches and star jumps completed, it was little old me that was first in the saddle. You can have a good old laugh by following the link on Youtube – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddxvU0r4Vbg
The idea came about while trying to think up a way of raising funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital in support of a very dear client of ours who recently, very sadly, lost their lovely little girl Nadia who was taken suddenly and without warning. The funds raised will go directly to purchasing much needed equipment.
As we are unable to start a convoy cross mountains, fields and sand dunes, we have set up a monitored exercise bike in the UK office, where over the coming months we will cycle a target of 50 miles a day. Phew!! I will keep you up to speed (excuse the pun) on our progress across the countries we cross and the amount raised to date. Thank you to all who have given so far, you are all super stars £340 on the board today so far 🙂
