So what is BGAD I hear you ask? It actually stands for Business and General Aviation Day and it was held this year at Biggin Hill Airport.
It is classed as an ‘informal and productive networking day,’ or in my book a jolly good excuse for a few glasses of champagne, a good old natter with fellow aviation bods and a chance to check out some of the latest private jets on the market….so Aliona and I got snug in the Citation Mustang jet and found ourselves a cheeky little bottle of Moet….well, who could blame us?
We spent a pleasant day, looking and trying out the jets for space and comfort.
My new personal favourite is the Citation Latitude which will be available for charter very soon. The Citation Latitude is said to have the most spacious cabin environment in the mid-size category, being the first business jet to ‘combine a roomy, flat floor, stand-up cabin, with a midsize price’ says the official blurb….I just see it as a paaaartyyyy plane 🙂
Here is my good self at the controls of the Latitude.
OK I’m not really flying it, but I think a spin with the Captain would be fun….look out Barcelona here we come.
To mark the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and thanks to the vintage aircraft still based at the heritage hangar at Biggin Hill, BGAD commemorated the day with a fly-past of historic aircraft in the evening following the event.
An awesome day out thank you Biggin Hill Airport.
